Ermelinda M. (Faga) Serio, a resident of Medford and beloved wife of Umberto M. Serio, passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on Sunday evening, October 23, 2016. She was 88 years old.
Born in Italy, she was the beloved daughter of the late Oreste and Paola (Saya) Faga. Mrs. Serio immigrated to this country not speaking english and became a Registered Nurse. She had been employed by Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston and later at the Boston Regional Medical Center in Stoneham. Always a homemaker, Mrs. Serio enjoyed dancing and most of all her loving grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
She was the loving mother of; Frank O. and Pamela C. Serio of Belgrade, Maine and Concetta R. Serio of Everett, cherish grandmother of; Umberto, Ermelinda, Michela, Michael and Joseph. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Her memorial mass will be celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford, Thursday, October 27, 2016, at 10 AM.
