Phyllis M. (LaMattina) Pasquale passed away on October 8, 2016. She was 81 years old.
Phyllis was born and raised in Boston’s North End. She was the loving wife of the late Anthony F. Pasquale of 55 years. Phyllis worked for the City of Malden School Lunch Department's Central Kitchen for many years and later on was a bookkeeper for the Jackson Street Garage.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren which always meant planning and preparing Sunday dinners and Holiday feasts. She had many fond memories of the North End and jumped at the opportunity to go for dinner, cappuccino and just walk around. When January arrived she went south to spend winters in Sarasota Florida where she had many kind and caring friends.
Phyllis actively participated with a group studying the Course of the Miracles where she made many thoughtful, loving friends and grew stronger in her faith. Phyllis touched many people's lives and was full of life, she had a deep love for all her family and friends and will truly be missed.
Phyllis is survived by her three children Anthony Pasquale Jr. and his wife Cida of Beverly, Paul Pasquale and his wife Danielle of North Reading and Christine Bertoli and her husband Charles of Stoneham. She was the cherished grandmother of Marcos, Anthony and Matthew Pasquale, Stephanie, Alex and Christian Pasquale and Nicholas and Dante Bertoli. Phyllis was the dear sister of Jean Marfoli and her late husband Louis. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday, October 14 th at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 10:30 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 13th from 4-8 pm. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum in Everett.
