North Andover – Norman N. Berube, 92, of North Andover, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill. He was the beloved husband of the late Sonia M. (Winneryk) Berube.
Born in Lawrence on December 17, 1923, Norman was the son of George T. and Rose (Ranville) Berube. He attended Lawrence schools and graduated from Lawrence High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was the owner and operator of Berube Heating Company for over 50 years until his retirement. He was a past member of the Andover Country Club. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and spending time with his grandson, whom he taught to play golf.
Norman will be deeply missed by his daughter, Sheila M. Therrien and her husband, Donald of Andover; his grandson, Christopher Therrien and his wife, Katie of Westwood, MA; his great-grandchildren, Claire and Luke Therrien; his sister, Blanche Tanguay of Manchester, NH; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Norman’s life by gathering for calling hours at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 10 – 11 AM. His funeral service will follow at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
