Joseph B. Beaver Sr., a longtime resident of Melrose and Everett passed away on September 20, 2016. He was 72 years old.
Joseph was an employee for National Grid for 37 years before retiring. He was an avid Boston sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox.
Joseph was the former husband of Catherine (Tortora) Beaver. He was the son of the late Edward and Frances Beaver. Joseph was the beloved father of Joseph Beaver Jr. and his wife Donna of Abington, Lori O’Leary-Karl and her husband Curt Karl of Saugus and John Beaver and his wife Sharyn of Wakefield. He was the dear brother of Edward Beaver, Sally Beaver and Kathleen Mulligan. Joseph was the cherished grandfather of Robert O’Leary, Amanda Beaver, Melanie Beaver, Joseph Beaver, and Matthew Beaver. He is also survived by many loving family members and friends.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Saturday September 24th at 8:00a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Mary’s Church Herbert Street, Melrose at 9:00a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral on Friday September 23rd from 4-8p.m.
Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose
