Emily (Vozzella) Uva passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital on Thursday. She was 76. Born and raised in Boston’s North End, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Elena (Ristaino) Vozzella. A Medford resident for nearly 60 years, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Emily held a few part time jobs in her younger years but was primarily devoted to her family and loved spending time with her family and friends.
The beloved wife of the late Anthony D. Uva who passed away in 2011, she was a devoted mother to Anthony Uva and his wife Suzanne of Reading and Christine Mastrocola and her husband Nicholas of Stoneham. She was a loving grandmother to Joy Mastrocola and Emmalyn Uva. She was a dear sister to Marion Capuano of Medford and the late Arlene Gouveia.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
