Hanson – Genevieve (Siviski) Lipinski 86 a resident of Hanson for over 60 years, died suddenly on Saturday June 4 after a recent illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Stephen F. Lipinski.
Born in Winslow, Maine she was last of six children of Mickolas and Kamilla (Mikulka) Siviski.
Genevieve married Stephen Lipinski and moved to Hanson where she raised her five children Stephanie Lipinski-McDonald of Hanover, Mary Doane of Hanson, Elizabeth Niland of East Bridgewater, Joseph Lipinski of East Bridgewater and Stephen M. Lipinski of Hanson.
While raising her family and helping with the daily routine of the family farm “Lipinski Farm” she worked many years for the phone company, and later as a dispatcher for the Hanson Police and Fire departments. She retired as a switchboard operator for the New England Baptist Hospital.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and her greatest joy came from the time spent with her large family. She will be sorely missed by her loving children, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Her services will be held Wednesday June 8 at 9:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed by a mass at 10 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Church, Hanson. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday June 7 from 6-8 PM.
