Obituary

Ann Marie Skelly, 70, Plymouth, MA and Ormond Beach, FL, passed away May 6, 2011 at Florida Hospital, Daytona Beach. Ann was born December 22, 1940 in Boston, MA to Henry and Anna (Bergin) Mullaney. She was a breast cancer survivor, a parishioner at St. Brendan Catholic Church, was a volunteer (Sleuth) with the Seniors versus Crime in Daytona Beach, she also volunteer with Save the Manatee group, was vice president with the Sea Bridge Condo. Assoc., as well as serving on boards of other condo associations. In Massachusetts, she served on the Planning committee, as well as other boards over the years. Ann earned her master’s in French from the Sorbonne in Paris, her MED in education from Assumption College in Worcester, MA, her BA in French from Emmanuel College in Boston, MA, and was a retired teacher from Randolph High School where she chaired the language department. She is survived by her brother Henry (Marcie) Mullaney, New Boston, NH, three grandchildren, Logan and Liam Skelly, S. Daytona Beach, FL, Colleen Reed, Palm Coast, FL, and her daughter-in-law, Kathleen Guy-Reed, Palm Coast, as well as many beloved family members and friends in Florida and Massachusetts. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. Skelly, and her son, Mark D. Skelly. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 12th at St. Bonaventure’s Church at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours are from 4-7 pm on Wednesday at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Road, Route 3A, Plymouth (Manomet). Burial at the Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
