Mrs. Yvonne I. (Burgess) LaFleur, of Taunton, died Tuesday, February 9 at Longmeadow of Taunton following a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late
Wallace Lyon and the late Wilfred LaFleur. She was born 87 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Anthony and Roseanna (Brabant) Burgess. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a salesclerk for the former Goodnow’s Clothing Store in Taunton for 10 years. She was previously employed as an attendant at Taunton State Hospital for 21 years. Mrs. LaFleur participated in many activities when she resided at the Fitzsimmons Arms Apartments. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Taunton, and later
attended Holy Family Church in East Taunton.
She leaves:

2 daughters: Patricia A. Riendeau of Taunton
Ruth Ann Poarch of Port St.Lucie, Fla.
6 grandchildren
many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews
Mrs. LaFleur was also the sister of the late Clarence Burgess of Taunton.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, February 11, at 11:00 A.M. in
St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
