Obituary

Jeff W. Robson, 79, of West Point, Texas went home to be with the Lord on January 14, 2010.
Jeff was born January 31, 1930 to Hampton and Loreina Johnson Robson in Houston, Texas.
He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant, in July 1955. In September 1955, he went to work for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., Houston Plant. He retired in 1992, after 37 years of service.
Jeff married Doris Kiesling in November of 1967 and they moved from Houston to West Point after his retirement in 1992.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife Doris, mother-in-law, Ruby Kiesling of La Grange; three sons Richard Robson and his wife Annetta, of Houston, Kenneth Robson and his wife Kelly, of St. Louis, Mo., and Darryl Robson and his wife Alyssa of New Braunfels; daughter-in-law,Tricia Billingsly of Kirbyville; grandchildren Tricia Shelton, Tommy Robson, Todd Robson, Allen Robson, Jared Robson and Daniel Robson; and by seven great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Emil and Sue Kiesling, Maxine and Henry Holub, Elaine and Richard Halpain, Joe Friedel, Elizabeth Robson, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Wilbur Robson, son Larry Robson, father-in-law Atlin Kiesling and sister-in-law Iva Friedel.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday January 18, 2010, from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM, at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday January 19, 2010 at 10:00 AM, at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:30 PM, Tuesday at Houston Woodlawn Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Tommy Robson, Todd Robson, Donald Robson, Brian Holub, Brad Friedel, Edward Halpain, John Hidalgo and Steven Langley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Jeff’s name to: Faith Baptist Church of Smithville, Hospice Brazos Valley, or the American Cancer Society.
