Lisa Marie Purvis Allison, 41, of Irwin County, Georgia died Sunday, November 8, 2009, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, November 13, 2009 at the Ocilla Church of God with Rev. Clayton Dowd officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverbend Cemetery in Irwin County. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Thursday evening at the Ocilla Church of God.
Mrs. Allison was born October 1, 1968 in Bellflower, California to Rev. Virgil and Hazel Watson Purvis. She was a 1986 graduate of Tift County High School and received her nurse’s training from ABAC. She also attended the University of Kentucky at Elizabethtown. A Registered Nurse, Lisa was a member of the Georgia Association of Nursing Students. She lived in the Gladys community for the past 13 years. She was an active member of the Ocilla Church of God where she was co-leader of the SPIN college and career class and an active member of the Praise Team.
Along with her parents, she is survived by her children: Heather Marie Allison and Brady Wayne Allison, both of Irwin County; sister and brother-in-law: Brenda & Allen “Bo” Boazman of Irwin County; three nieces: Nichole Richardson, Abby Boazman, and Sarah Boazman; great-nephews: Wesley Richardson & Cam Richardson; and her maternal grandmother: Vivian Watson of Lynden, Washington; and a sister-in-law: Tammy Allison of Abbeville. She was preceded in death by her husband: Richard Allen Allison.
