New Bedford-Mario M. Pimentel age 71 years died July 18th, at Southeastern Massachusetts Health and Rehabilitation. He was the father of Cidalia Martins of New Bedford, Maria Wong of Texas, Luis Pimentel of Annapolis Maryland and Clara Pimentel of New Bedford. Mario was the brother of Cecilia Avelar of New Bedford. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren Adachi Wong and Myra Wong and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Pimentel was the son of the late Jose and Elgita (Martins) Pimentel. He was born in Flores, Açores and has lived in New Bedford for ten years. He was an electronics assembler for Aerovox until his retirement.
Mr. Pimentel’s Funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. on Tuesday at 9:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday from 5-8 P.M.
