Mr. Allen Louis Gesing, 86, a resident of North Andover, MA., passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at his home.
Born in Lawrence, MA., Mr. Gesing attended the North Andover Schools and was a graduate of Johnson High School. He then went on to attend Lowell Technical College.
Mr. Gesing had worked as a Fuller Brush Salesman for some 25 years. He then went on to work at AT&T from where he retired. Mr. Gesing was a United States Army veteran during W.W.II , having served in the Army Air Corps in England with the 787th Bomb Squadron. A great lover of music, he played Alto Sax in a Polka Band that traveled around the Merrimack Valley to perform. Mr. Gesing would love to cook as well as whistle. He was a life member of the D.A.V. as well as a member of St. Michael's Church in North Andover.
The widow of Barbara V. (Finn) Gesing, family members include:
a son: Bob Gesing and his wife Deborah of North Andover, MA.
a daughter: B. Lee Briggs and her husband Dave of Barnstead, N.H.
granddaughters: Jennifer (Wood) Fields and her husband Sean of Enfield, N.H. and Erica Gesing of North Andover, MA. as well as several nieces.
Mr. Gesing was also brother of the late Roland "Buster" Gesing and brother-in-law of the late Mary Gesing.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack St., North Andover, MA. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery, also in North Andover, MA.
Family and Friends may call on Monday, February 11, 2008, from 3 to 7 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
