Obituary

Frances M. (Wray) Beeley, 88, of Salem, NH, died Tuesday at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.

She was born and educated in Lawrence, MA, graduating from Lawrence High School. She was a resident of Salem for over 60 years, formerly of Methuen.

Frances was a retired director of the lunch programs for the Salem and Atkinson, NH Schools and had worked in the school food service program for over 29 years. She was State Legislative Chairman and State Treasurer for the NH School Food Service Association. Frances was a member of the First Congregational Church in Salem, where she was a former Sunday school teacher, youth group advisor and a former deaconess. She was a member of the Philathia class. Frances volunteered for the American Red Cross and the March of Dimes. She enjoyed cooking and was famous at Salem High School for her chocolate fudge cake.

She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years Peter Beeley.

Survived by her Son: Peter Beeley Jr. & wife Nancy of Salem, NH

Daughter: Carol Southwick of Salem, NH

Grandchildren: Stacey Beeley, Peter Joseph Beeley & Erin Clancy, Amanda Beeley and Deanna & her husband Donald Johnson

Great Grandsons: Donald Jr., Tyler, & Nicholas Johnson and Peter Daniel Beeley

Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 7th at 10:00 AM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen, MA. Calling hours will be held Thursday, Dec. 6th from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
