Obituary

Leo P. Pincince 83 of Mt. Pleasant Rd., died Sunday, July 8 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the husband of the late Eva A. (Belisle) Pincince. Mr. Pincince was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Armidas and Maria (Biron) Pincince. He was a storekeeper for the Quonset Point Naval Base for 30 years before retiring in 1975. Mr. Pincince was the maintenance supervisor for the Woonsocket Health Center from 1978 until his final retirement in 1990. He was also an Army Veteran of WWII, serving in Italy and earning a purple heart.

Mr. Pincince is survived by two sons Marc Pincince of Nasonville, and David Pincince of Scituate, a daughter Susan Pincince of North Smithfield, and three grandchildren Ashley, Ryan and Ryley. He was the brother of the late Violet Poisson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Theresa’s Church in Nasonville Tuesday at 9:30 am. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Veteran’s Cemetery in Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Autism Project of RI, 51 Sockanosett Crossroad, Cranston RI, 02920.
