Mr. Frank D. Lacey, Sr.
November 22, 1932 – April 3, 2007

Mr. Frank Delano Lacey, Sr. better known as "Dee: was born to Emmett Lynch and Caldonia Lacey-Lynch on November 22, 1932 in madison County, Alabama. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Louis, Lynch.

From his matiral union with Betty Battle for nearly twenty years, there were five children born--Frank, Janet, Daryl, Cedric and Derek. He later married Ann Moore. Although this marriage ended as well, Ann and Dee remained "best friends" which was best exemplified by her undying devotion to him as she stood beside his bedside as he completed his life's journey home.

He attended William H. Council High School. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged.

After being discharged fromt the Army, Frank moved to Chicago wher he word at Sears as a Mechanic. After Chicago he moved back to Huntsville, then to Chattanooga, and finally back to Huntsville.

Dee accepted Christ at an early age and joined First Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend H. P. Snodgrass. After leaving Huntsville, he attended several churches in his various resident areas, but he always considered First Baptist as his "home church". After his final return home, Dee was very happy to be reunited with First Missionary



Funeral services for Mr. Lacey will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday from the First Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Julius R. Scruggs officiating. Interment will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home handling the services. The remains of Mr. Lacey will be in the church one hour prior to funeral time.
