Mr. Sylvia was born in New Bedford a son of Matthew V. and Leopoldina M. (Perry) Sylvia. He was formerly employed as a baker at Nissan Bakery formerly Guisti's Bakery and He also worked at Sears.
Mr. Sylvia is survived by his children George M. Sylvia of Pittsfield, MA, Cory F. Sylvia and his wife Debbie of Topeka, Kansas, Cathy M. Randall and her husband William of New Bedford, a deceased daughter Cheryl A. Blake, 4 Grandsons and 2 Grandaughters brothers Joseph Sylvia and his wife
