Thurman "TC" Waller Obituary - Water Valley MS

Mr. Thurman "TC" Waller, age 92, also called T.C. by his close friends and family, was born in Merango County, Union Town, AL to the late Willie Waller and Ida Wine Waller on June 3, 1926. TC left home as a very young boy and moved to Bessemer, AL to live with his Uncle Robert. He first married in Bessemer and from this union he had his one and only son, Tyrone Waller. TC later moved to Chicago where he reached manhood and married Rose Lee Riley. Thereafter, he and Rosie Lee moved to Water Valley, MS where he lived until his death on Friday, September 14, 2018.

TC took pride being employed by Avant Construction Company for many years. His employers were like family to him, especially after the death of his wife in October 2007.

Services were held at 3 PM on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Water Valley.

Preceding TC in death is his son, Tyrone; his brothers, Raymond, Sherman, Herman, Isaiah, Rev Joseph, Robert, and just this year, Rev. Pettus Waller and Willie Bennett; his sisters, Thessalonian Davis, Irene Stafford, Eva Stafford, and Sarah Lockett.

TC is survived by four grandchildren, Corey Lewis, Tina Henderson, Hakeem Lewis, and Shantree Campbell, All of Birmingham, AL; a step-grandson, David Grandberry of Hernando, MS; and many relatives.

Theresa Jackson was TC's caregiver for three years, and is to be thanked for that. Also his dear and special cousin, Aaisha, who fought for TC's just due and respect.
