Edna Marie Gray, age 75 died Monday, September 17, 2018 at her home in Pope MS. She was born May 26, 1943 to the late Guy B. and Bessie Shields Taylor. She had a diverse work career which ranged from being a hairdresser in Batesville, MS to being a caregiver. Marie enjoyed reading, working with her flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.
Visitation is planned for Friday, September 21, 2018 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Services will begin at 2:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Kevin Crofford officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS with William Puttman, Adam Beard, Diadrian Chapman, David Taylor, Ethan Owens and Larry Bayne serving as pallbearers. Marie is survived by one daughter, Pam (Joe) Raines of Pope, MS; one son, Gary (Louise) Gray of Pope, MS; one brother, Mike (Celia) Taylor of Duck Hill, MS; as well as 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Marie, along with her parents, was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Gray; one daughter, Angela Marie Gray; one grandson, Danny Gray; and one brother Guy Taylor, Jr. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to aide the family in final expenses. | ||||
