WAYLAND: Mark J. Conley, 59, died unexpectedly after being stricken at his residence in Wayland on Friday, August 24, 2018.
He was born in Medford on April 16, 1959 the son of Jeannette D. (Volante) Conley of Arlington and the late Joseph K. Conley.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 31 years: Marcy M. (Desautels) Conley of Wayland. Devoted father of Michael J. Conley of Somerville; Brian M. Conley of Somerville; Kathleen M. “Katie” Conley of Waltham and Daniel J. Conley of Wayland. Brother of Kathleen M. Conley of Boston and Kevin M. Conley and his wife Cynthia Conley of Haverhill. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mark has been a resident of Wayland for the past 28 years and previously resided in Arlington. He was a graduate of Arlington High School. Mark was a Self-Employed Executive in the field of construction in the local area.
He enjoyed karate and the martial arts as well as boating especially in Georgetown, Maine with his family. He also had a keen sense of finance and loved reading historical novels as well as enjoying movies.
He was devoted to his family and the time that he spent with them. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rte. 30), Wayland.
Family and friends may gather at the funeral home at 9:00 am on Thursday, August 30, 2018 followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Good Shepherd Parish at St. Ann Church, 124 Cochituate Rd (Rte. 27), Wayland.
Private family interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, his family kindly suggests that memorial gifts in Mark’s memory may be sent to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
