FRAMINGHAM: Ludwig Hermann Hering, 92, died on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham, surrounded by his loving family.
Ludwig is survived by his beloved wife Gretel (Henning) Hering of Framingham. He was the devoted father and father-in-law of Michael and Lisa Hering of Lafayette, CO; Stephanie and Larry Sisle of Annapolis, MD and Peter Hering of Hamburg, Germany. He is also survived by his sister Renate Sesemann of Offenbach, Germany as well as three grandchildren, Joey, Brian, and Lars.
Ludwig spent his earlier years in Offenbach Germany, where he received Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. This was followed by a decade living in Canada. He has resided in Framingham for the past 52 years. 50 years ago, he founded American Lewa Inc. of Holliston (a subsidiary of Lewa Pumps of Leonberg, Germany), and served as General Manager for 25 years until his retirement in 1993.
He was a member of the German American Club of Walpole and an avid Soccer, Rugby, and Boston Bruins fan. He was a devoted and loving husband and father to his family and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.
Memorial Visitations will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rte. 30), Wayland.
A Celebration of his Life will follow visitations beginning at 2:45 pm at the funeral home.
