Martha Odom Duke Herron, age 60, died May 16, 2018 at her home in Banner, MS. She was born March 3, 1958 to the late Edna Faye and Raymond Fred Odom in Vernon, AL. Martha enjoyed country music and dancing and was a die-hard Alabama football fan. She delighted in hearing the sound of rain on the roof and she could bake a marvelous apple pie and delicious chicken and dumplings. She was a homemaker who loved her family and especially her grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, May 21, 2018 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Dickerson officiating. Burial will be in Vernon, AL in Bethel Cemetery at 3:00 PM the same day. Martha is survived by her son, Brandon Van Duke of Banner, MS; her daughter, Brandi Nicole Herron of Byhalia, MS; three sisters, Ruby Millican of Plano, TX, Lilly Poyner of West Point, MS, and Bonnie Jones (James) of Paris, MS; one brother, Jimmy Fred Odom of Vernon, AL; and two grandchildren, Mackenzie Leigh Duke and Breanna Renee Duke, both of Banner, MS. | ||||
