Dartmouth– Mozart A. Amaral, age 82, of Dartmouth, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Home with his family by his side. He was the Loving husband of Judith (Paiva) Amaral and son of the late Maria dos Anjos (Almeida) and Manuel Pacheco Amaral.
He is survived by his 2 sons: Oscar L. Amaral and his wife Marcia and Mario R. Amaral. A grandchild; Dylan J. Amaral, his siblings; Maria Cordeiro, Eduarda Oliveira, Mario Amaral, Assencao Pacheco and Margarida Pragana, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mr Amaral was born in St. Michael Azores, he served in the Portuguese Army, moved to the New Bedford area in 1969 and worked as a self employed Landscaper, he also worked at Chamberlain Mfg. He was a hard working, loving man to the end.
Mozarts’ funeral service will be Wednesday morning, February 14, 2018 beginning in the funeral home at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Mt. Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours Tuesday from 5 – 8 P.M.
