Gary Ratliff Obituary - Water Valley MS

Gary R. Ratliff, age 65, died Saturday, February 3, 2018, at the Yalobusha General Hospital of Water Valley, MS. He was born April 19, 1952, in Burdine, KY, to the late Ervin Ratliff and Wilma Marcella Lane. Gary was a coal miner by trade. After moving to Water Valley, he worked at Yalobusha General Hospital. Gary was a cattleman and farmer at heart. He loved his cattle and enjoyed riding motorcycles.

Visitation will be held at Seven Oaks Funeral Home Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 12:00 Noon and a memorial service will follow at 1:00 PM. Dr. Randy Bain will officiate the services.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Jodie Ann Ratliff of Hammond, IN; three sisters, Ervalene (Paul) Odom of Water Valley, MS, Patty Lynn Mullins and Elizabeth Ann (Reno) Kiser, both of McRoberts, KY; two brothers, Gregory Lane Ratliff of McRoberts, KY, and James Bradley (Sarah) Ratliff of London, KY; eight grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He is also survived by a special companion, Heather Muirhead and her son, Grafton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary A. Ratliff.
