Terrence M. "Terry" Kane

COCHITUATE: Terrence M. “Terry” Kane, 69, died peacefully on Thursday evening, February 1, 2018 following a brief illness.
He was born in Framingham on January 19, 1949 the son of the late William H. Kane and Frances B. (Murray) Kane.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Betsy Ann (Cantella) Kane of Cochituate. He was the devoted and beloved father of Stephanie A Kane of Cochituate who was the light of his life. Brother of Kenneth P. Kane of Framingham, Katherine Ann Jones of Manchester, CT and the late William F. Kane. Son-in-law of Josephine R. Cantella of Lexington and brother-in-law of Audrey (Phyllis) Kane of Cochituate, David Cantella and his wife Amber of Huntington Beach, CA and Steven Cantella and his wife Leping of Boston. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Terry has been a lifelong “Townie” of Cochituate and loved every moment that he lived here. He graduated from Wayland High School with the Class of 1967 where he played football and hockey. He attended Boston State College and graduated with a BA in History and his Masters from Framingham State College.
For several years he taught history at the Wilson Junior High School in Natick. He was then associated as a Sales Representative for many years with Graphtex in Framingham and was the Founder and Owner of T K Sales of Cochituate which he operated up until his death.
He loved boating, fishing and golfing and was involved in supporting and participating in many fundraising golf tournaments. He was always the up-front guy to lend a helping hand to anyone. He was a former member of the Framingham Country Club.
He was devoted to his wife and daughter and always put their needs before anything else. Terry will truly be loved and missed by his family and all the lives that he touched during his journey.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte. 30), Cochituate.
Family and friends are requested to go directly to Good Shepherd Parish at St. Zepherin Church, 99 Main Street (Rte. 27), Cochituate on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 10:00 am for Terry’s Mass of Christian Burial.
Interment will follow in the Kane family lot in St. Zepherin Cemetery, Bent Ave, Cochituate.
In lieu of flowers his family kindly suggests that memorial gifts in Terry’s memory be sent to the Michael Lisnow Respite Center, 112 Main Street, Hopkinton, MA 01748 and would be greatly appreciated.
