Stephen Krisler

Stephen Krisler, 59, of Olyphant, passed away Saturday in Creekside Health and Rehabilitation, Carbondale, Pa. His wife is the former Sandra Inshetski.

Born in Scranton, son of the late Edward Krisler and Mary Nelson Coulthard, he was a graduate of Olyphant High School. He was a Navy veteran. Throughout his career he was employed at RCA, Lackawanna Health and Rehab and most recently the Geisinger Commonwealth Medical College. Stephen enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters, he loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Stephen also enjoyed going to the casino. The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Majernick, Dr. Tara Morrison, Dr. Allen Orehek and Creekside Rehab for all their care and compassion.

Surviving are a daughter, Lisa Krisler, Olyphant, Pa.; a son, Stephen D. and wife, Tammy, Olyphant, Pa.; granddaughters, Sabrina and Kristiania Krisler; brothers, Edward and wife, Ruth, Montdale; Mike and wife, Joann, Peckville, Pa.; sisters, Theresa Slachta, Dunmore; Joann Winters, Moscow, Pa.; nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mark and infant, Tommy; brother-in-law, Bob Slachta.

The funeral will be Wednesday with Divine Liturgy at 9:30 at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, 135 River St., Olyphant, to be celebrated by the Rev. Nestor Iwasiw, pastor. Interment, parish cemetery, Peckville. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home, 129 Grant St., Olyphant. Parastas service will be at 6:30.
