Donnie F. Benner, 80, of Windham, NH, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018, in the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Junction, TX on September 17, 1937, a daughter of the late Frank and Ruby (Bundick) Jackson. In her younger years Donnie worked as a Secretary at Bergstrom AFB in Travis County, TX. Prior to starting her family, she also worked for the IRS. Donnie was a voracious reader, sometimes consuming 2 or 3 books a week. She also enjoyed going out to eat and traveling.
She is survived by her beloved husband, William Benner of Windham, one daughter, Lori Ann Benner-Andrus and her husband Brett of Kingston, NH, one brother, Vernon Jackson of Tow, TX, one sister, Frankie Leamons, of Tow TX, as well as many nieces, nephews and close family friends. She was sadly predeceased by her son William Benner in 2001.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a celebration of life will be held by the family on Saturday February 3, 2018 at 9:30am in the Hampstead Congregational Church, Main St., Hampstead, NH. Refreshments will follow in Hadley Hall. Burial will be in the spring at Atkinson Cemetery, Atkinson, NH. Memorial contributions may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
