NATICK: Thomas M. Sheehy, 83, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the Boston Medical Center following a period of declining health.
He was born in Cambridge, the son of the late Thomas Sheehy and Nora (O’Shea) Sheehy.
Tom was the beloved husband for 57 years of Helen M. (Bersaw) Sheehy of Natick. He was the loving father of Thomas P. Sheehy and his wife Elizabeth R. Sheehy of Arlington, VA and cherished grandfather of Emma M. Sheehy of New York City, NY; Thomas R. Sheehy and Jackson R. Sheehy, both of Arlington, VA. He was the brother of Kevin Sheehy of Arizona; James Sheehy of Woburn; Brendan Sheehy of Andover and Maureen Jason of Cataument.
Tom has been a resident of Natick for the past 51 years. He spent his formative years in Belmont and served his country proudly with the United States Coast Guard during the Korean Conflict. He had a long and distinguished career as a Sales Manager with Eastco, a regional appliance distributor. In his earlier years, he played high school and college ice hockey and remained an avid golfer and enjoyed walking. Tom was a member of both the AmVets and VFW of Natick.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 10:30 am at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte. 30), Wayland.
Interment will follow in the Sheehy family lot in St. Zepherin Cemetery, Wayland.
