WAYLAND: Deirdre Farrell Scully, Wayland passed away suddenly at her home on Tuesday January 9th 2018.
Deirdre left her native Ireland and moved to Wayland in 1983. For the past 23 years, she and her husband Pat were owner/operators of Deirdre's Family Daycare and together they helped raise scores of local area children.
Deirdre was much loved by the children she cared for and remained close to many of them right into their adulthood.
She is survived by her husband Pat, her brothers Clem and Ron and her sisters Ruth and Elizabeth. Also survived by her aunt Tess Griffin, several cousins, nieces and nephews .
Visitations will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 12:00 noon to 12:30 pm. A Prayer Service will be at 12:30 pm with Monsignor Chris Walsh. Following the prayer service, visitations will continue until 2:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte. 30), Wayland.
Interment will be in Ireland at a later date.
