Barbara Marie Ferrick, 90, of Hernando, FL, passed away January 6, 2018 at home under the loving care of her family and Hospice. She was born in Boston on April 13, 1927 to the late Michael and Barbara (Ridge) Murphy. She was preceded in death by husband, Francis Joseph “Buddy” Ferrick in 1981, brother John Murphy and sister Katherine Coughlin. She lived the majority of her life in Newton Highlands, moved to Harwich and Norwood MA then moved to FL. Left to cherish her memory are her children Susan Gill, of Hernando, FL; Michele “Shelley” Leahy and husband Dick of West Roxbury; Francis J. “Joe” Ferrick and wife Janet of Norwood, MA; Michael Ferrick of Hernando, FL, Patricia “Patti” Ferrick, of Needham, MA and Gregory “Greg” Ferrick and wife Eileen of Holliston, MA; 13 grandchildren Kristy, Dianna, Michelle, Greg, Pete, Mike, Brendan, Jennifer, Gerard, Dennis, Bridget, Shannon and Shawn; 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St. Canton Thursday, January 18 from 4-8PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 19th at 11:00 AM in St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 547 Washington St., Norwood.
