Nelida Cosme, age 76, passed away at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by her loving family on Nov 7, 2017. She was born in Coamo, Puerto Rico on Dec 19, 1940 to the late Luis and Vidal (Aponte) Gonzalez. She was a communicant of Holy Name Parish in Chicopee. Nelida is predeceased by her husband Efrain Cosme who passed away on Aug 9, 2005. She leaves 4 sons, Angelo Cosme and his spouse Michael Triggs of Springfield, Jose Cosme of Pompano Beach, FL, Melvin Cosme of Springfield and Alfred Cosme of Chicopee; 2 daughters, Marianne Cosme of Chicopee and Vilma Cosme of Chicopee and also 8 grandchildren Kelsey Cosme, Melvin Cosme Jr., Christian Cosme, Ryan Cosme, Victoria Delgado, Lillian Delgado, Antonio Sierra and Nin Frankie. She also leaves 2 sisters Anna Maria Gonzalez and Nelly Del Carmen Gonzalez both of Puerto Rico. A Funeral Service will be held on Mon, Nov 13, 2017 from 8:45 AM at Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield St. Chicopee with a Mass of Christian Burial to take place at 10:00 AM at Holy Name Parish in the Assumption Church. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held on Sun, Nov 12, 2017 from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
