Bernice Hall Obituary - Water Valley MS

Evelyn Bernice Woods Hall, age 88, passed away October 6, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. She was born January 13, 1929 in Lambert, MS to the late Bolivar Carlisle Woods and Ollie Mae Self Woods and married George David Hall, Jr. also known as “Dude.” Bernice was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and quilting. She spoiled her hummingbirds every summer with plenty of nectar, and she was a faithful member of Willow Springs Assembly of God Church in Enid, MS. Seven Oaks Funeral Home of Water Valley is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services are planned for 11:00 AM Monday, October 9, 2017 at Willow Springs Assembly of God Church at Enid, MS with Bro. Tommy Darby officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the church, and burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Enid, MS with Jeff Hall, Rusty Porter, Vince Brummett, Joey Gordon, Charlie Darby, and Tommy Hall serving as pallbearers.

Bernice is survived by two daughters, Evelyn (Don) Brummett of Batesville, MS, and Thelma Porter of Enid, MS; two sons, David (Alice) Hall of Enid, MS, and Carl (Dorothy) Hall of Raleigh, MS; two sisters, Dora McNatt of Grenada, MS and Ouida Schrader of Holly Springs, MS; eleven grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George David “Dude” Hall, Jr; a daughter, Dollie Ann Warren; three sisters, Lucille Tutor, Elise Grimes, and Pearline Flint; seven brothers, Raymond Woods, Russell Woods, Tandy Woods, Paul Woods, Marvin Woods, Wayne Woods, and Jesse Wortham; and one grandchild.
