Mullins, Lowell “Moon”, 85, was called home August 10, 2017 in Louisville.
He was born to Walter and Hettie (Clevenger) Mullins July 6, 1932 in Darwin, VA.
Lowell was a Terminal Operator for Chevron Oil, retiring in 1989, and a proud U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean War.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Melster Jean Mullins; a brother, Hassel Mullins; two sisters, Vonda McCown, and Lakey Mullins; two great-grandchildren, Savanah and Blake.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Carol Hodge, and Carlene Davis (Donald); four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, a brother, Carlos Mullins; two sisters, Evelyn Yonts, and Freedis Bailey (Don).
Funeral services will be Monday at 12:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway; burial is in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West.
Visitation is Sunday 2:00-8:00 PM.
