Donald R. Daly, 65, of Millbury, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 7th in Milford Hospital. He leaves his wife of 23 years, Maureen A. (Dwinell) Daly; two sons, Jonathan J. Daly and Evan R. Daly both of Millbury; a brother, Timothy Daly and his wife, Pamela of Worcester; two sisters, Carolyn R. Daly of CA and Mary Beth Daly-O’Neil of Auburn and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard E. Daly, Jr.
He was born in Boston the son of Richard E. Daly, Sr. and Ruth (Lavallee) Daly, born to Nancy Jarvis. He graduated from St. Peter’s High School where he played hockey and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from UMASS Amherst. In Don’s younger years, he played baseball with Ty Cobb Little League. Don worked for the United Parcel Service for the past 28 years as a driver. He enjoyed spending time with his boys at the beach especially Hampton Beach, camping with his family, and loved to read. Ducker completed the Boston Marathon in 1989. Don was a proud Democrat. His family was his pride and joy.
Funeral services and burial will be private. Calling hours are Saturday, August 12th from 2:00 Until 5:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester.
