Obituary

Leo L. Trudel, 65, of Derry, NH, passed away suddenly on Tuesday July 18, 2017 at his home. He was born in Lowell, MA on March 23, 1952, a son of Irene (Benedetto) Lucy and the late Armand Trudel. Leo was raised in Lowell before enlisting in the US Marines where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He was an active member of the American Legion Lester Chase Post #9 in Derry, and served as part of the Honor Guard. Leo enjoyed playing pool.

In addition to his mother of Florida; he is survived by his two children, Laurie Frechette and husband Daniel, and Shawn Trudel and his fiancé Kerri Ann Griffin, all of Nashua, NH; four grandchildren, Desiree and DJ Frechette, and Alexis and Shawn Trudel, Jr.; his twin brother, Mike Trudel and wife Nancy of FL; his brother in law, Norman Deslauriers of FL; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Paul Trudel, and sister, Marylou Deslauriers.

Calling hours were held on Sunday, July 23rd from 2 – 5pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. Funeral services were held on Monday at 10:00am in the funeral home. The burial followed in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen at 12:00pm. Following the burial, everyone was invited to attend a gathering at the VFW, Railroad Ave., Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Lester Chase Post #9, PO Box 357, E. Derry, NH 03041.
