Maria Amelia (Domingues) Agostinho, 69, of East Wakefieldm, New Hampshire, formerly of Hudson, MA passed away peacefully on Friday, July 7, 2017 at her home after a period of declining health. She joins her husband of over twenty-one years, Joaquim Agostinho, who predeceased her in 1987. Amongst her many survivors, Maria leaves behind her four sons, Ricardo, Dominic, Daniel and David Agostinho all of Hudson; her grandchildren Gabriel, Derick, Alex, Jacob, Chloe, Katelyn and Emma Agostinho; two great- grandchildren Amani and Isabella and her beloved friend Jose S. Tavares. Maria was born on June 9, 1948 in Sá – Monção, Portugal where she was raised and attended school. She married Joaquim Agostino in 1966 and together they immigrated to Hudson, MA, where they raised their four sons. Like many of the families in Hudson at the time, Maria worked in the local factories to help support her family. Maria was a dedicated mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to taking care of her family. She resided in New Hampshire for the past twenty-nine years with her devoted companion Jose S. Tavares. Services for Maria will be private. She will be interred with Joaquin in St. Michael’s Cemetery at a later time.
