Obituary

Joseph V. Herosy died peacefully at home in Quincy Ma. on July 13, 2017. He was 87 years old. Joseph was born in South Boston and was a proud veteran who served in the U.S. Navy. He raised a family in Canton Ma., and together they spent many happy summers in Westport Ma. Joe was a retired self-employed electrical engineer who worked on several major metropolitan buildings and renovations in and around the Boston area for many years. Loving father of Elizabeth Herosy and her partner David Wilkner of Pawtucket RI, Ann Herosy and her husband Ernie Phipps of Campbell, CA and Joseph M. Herosy of Quincy. Former husband of the late Lorraine F. (Curry). He is also survived by nephews Richard Ring of Charlestown, John Herosy of Cambridge and nieces Christine Kennon of Hanover, Sally Thorp of Ashland, Eileen Strong of Port Orange Florida and Elaine Maull of Cape Cod. Visiting hours in the Roach-Pushard Home for Funerals, 210 Sherman St., Canton on Sunday July 16 from 2-6 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 in St. John the Evangelist Church, 700 Washington St. Canton. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in Joseph’s memory may be made to the Pine Street Inn, 444 Harrison Avenue Boston, MA 02118
