Obituary

WEBSTER – Theodore Dawicki, 90, of Negus Street Apartments, died Friday, June 23, 2017 at home.

He leaves his wife of 55 years, Helen M. (Lemieux) Dawicki; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Frank and Andrew Dawicki, and by 3 sisters, Josephine Burda, Frances Szczypien and Stasia Bardy.

He was born in Webster, a son of Valentine and Justyna (Bobrukiewicz) Dawicki. He graduated from Saint Louis High School and attended Nichols College in Dudley. He lived in Wilton,NH, Valley Forge, PA, Concord , NH and Old Orchard Beach, ME before returning to Webster in 1989.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He belonged to the Webster-Dudley American Legion #184, and was a member of the Disabled Veterans Chapter #23 in New Hampshire since 1976.

Mr. Dawicki set up manufacturing plants for American Greeting Card Company and also the Paralyzed Veterans of America in Wilton. He retired in 1991.

He was a communicant of St. Joseph Basilica. He was a life member of Benevelent & Protective Order of Elks Lodge #720 in Nashua, NH.

The funeral will be held Monday, June 26, from Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School
St., with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. The Webster-Dudley Veterans Council will perform the military honors. Visitation is private by invitation.
