New Bedford – Eduina P. (Freitas) Fraga , age 84 of New Bedford, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Ernesto I. deFraga and was the daughter of the late Maria Palmira deFraga and Jose Lourenco deFreitas.
She was born in Corvo, Azores and moved to this country in 1971 where she worked as a stitcher for Newtex Manufacturer.
She is survived by her son; Jose Fraga of New Bedford; 2 sisters, Maria Pimentel of California and Hercilia Palmira deFreitas of New Bedford; as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Maria Fraga.
Her visiting hours will be held Wednesday morning from 7:30 – 8:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial following at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
