Norma Lee Millett, of Groton, MA, formerly of Worcester, MA, passed away after a long illness on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Apple Valley Center. She was 86. She was born on April 6, 1931 in Houston, TX. Norma was a founding member and First President of the Massachusetts Womens Bowling Association and later in life she served as a member of both the Massachusetts and The National Silver Haired Congress, advocating for elder rights at both the state and federal level. A unique soul, Norma, loved the ocean and the outdoors, spending many summers on Cape Cod. She as always up for an adventure whether it be participating in timed road rallying with the Porsche Club of America in her little Red 944 or Sailing the ocean on Windjammer Cruises. Her love of all animals was part of her life long passion, whether it be walking dogs, sitting with her cat or watching horses grazing in the pastures out her window. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her three children; Robert, Randall, and Hilary and was predeceased by her husband, Robert. Private services will be held. Memorial donations may be made in Norma’s name to the the MSPCA at Nevin’s Farm.
