Obituary

Raymond P. Gibree, 82, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. His wife of forty five years Carole (Madison) Gibree died in 2000. He leaves three sons, Raymond, Steven and Richard of Worcester, a daughter Paula Kwiatkowski and her husband Edward of N. Grafton, five grandchildren, Kara Prendergast, Raymond Gibree Jr. , Katrina Gibree, Heather Zenkus and Kristin Kwiatkowski, ten great grandchildren, two brothers, Robert and his wife Frances of Braydenton, Florida and G. William Gibree and his wife Jeanette of Worcester and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his three sisters, Pauline Kay, Phyllis Garrepy and Sylvia Gibree. He was born in Worcester a son of the late F. William and Sylvia Gibree.
Mr. Gibree worked for Bausch & Lomb, later owning and operating his own company, Opti-Ray. He also worked as a security guard at Lake Shore Condos, where he formed many friendships.
Ray loved baseball and proudly volunteered for 30 years at Jack Barry Little League, coaching two teams to win the city championship title. He was also an avid Yankees fan, which made for many "family friendly rivalries". He had a heart of gold, finding the best in everyone and will be dearly missed.
Ray's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all those who helped to lovingly care for him.
The funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 11:30 am in HENRY- DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St. Burial followed in All Faiths Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home were held from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
