John F. Petkus Jr., 62, of Worcester, Massachusetts died on Saturday April 15, 2017. He is survived by his aunt Ms. Rita Seligowski, his cousins Theodore and Louis Seligowski, Paul Skrocki, Kenneth Howard, Anthony Matulaitis and several very close friends that considered John family. He is preceeded in death by his parents John F. Petkus Sr and Helen M. (Seligowski) Petkus and his sister Linda M. Petkus. John grew up in Worcester and was a graduate of Worcester Vocational Technical Institute. He was employed in the tool machine industry at the Cincinnati Milacron, Heald Division for over 20 years at their Worcester MA and Arlington Heights, IL locations. He departed the Heald Division and created, with his business partner, Machinery Contract Services, Shrewsbury MA continuing to focus on Heald equipment sales and services. John’s warm soul and giving heart was experienced by many, always there to help a friend. He enjoyed Cape Cod, home repair, gardening and his pets.
The funeral was held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial followed in Notre Dame Cemetery. A Calling hour in the funeral home was held on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
