Monica Ann Dinsmore, 48, of Derry, better known as Mindi to her family and friends, passed away April 16, 2017 in Portsmouth, NH. Mindi was born in Quantico, VA to Nancy and James Herber on May 3, 1968. She went to high school at South High School and graduated in 1986. She went on to train to become able to work in a nursing home. She retired from her career in 2001. She enjoyed movies, reading, relaxing and spending time with her family and cats. She loved to visit the local diner where she knew everyone and everyone knew her.
Mindi is survived by her mother Nancy Melcher of Sheboygan, WI; her sister Meridith (Thomas) Perl; daughter Elisabeth (William) Martin; and husband Richard Dinsmore; and her five cats. Mindi is preceded in death by her father and step-father, James and Robert.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the friends and family who reached out with their support in her final days.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours were held on Thursday, April 20th from 4 – 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Joslin Diabetes Center, 1 Joslin Place, Suite 745, Boston, MA 02215.
