Robert O. Millett, Sr. of Woburn and a former Florida resident for many years, passed away peacefully, March 28, 2017, following a short period of declining health. He was 91 years of age. Robert was the beloved husband of the late Rita T. (Allain) Millett. Born in Lynn he was the son of the late Edward and Bertha (Bergeron) Millett.

Robert was raised and educated on the North Shore. He was a proud and decorated United States Army Veteran of WWII. When he returned home from the service Robert began his career as a talented machinist working for Raytheon for eighteen years and later working with the Polaroid Corp. for over twenty years until his retirement. Following his retirement he moved to Florida where he and his wife enjoyed many years together. Always staying busy, Robert enjoyed working with his hands building and tinkering with things, and fixing anything that needed repair.

He was the devoted father of Alan Millett and his partner Vikki Lawrence of Ocala, FL, Linda Mantenuto of Woburn, and the late Robert O. Millett, Jr. Loving grandfather of Alan, Brian, Errol, Ricky, Laura, Valerie and Gregory. Also survived by 13 loving great grandchildren. Brother of Bertha Sylvanowicz of Danvers, the late Muriel Ahearn, Edward, Charles and Roger Millett. Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Tuesday, April 4th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd, Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 thru 8 p.m. Interment services will be private.
