John “Mike” Michael Skorker, of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 29th at the Philip Hulitar Hospice House in Providence, Rhode Island. He was 70.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Peter and Mattie Lou Talley Skorker.

Mike was painter, and he specialized in painting homes. When he wasn’t working, Mike liked to go down to South Yarmouth on Cape Cod to fish. He also enjoyed playing cards, watching the food network and cooking everything and anything.

Mike was the beloved husband of Debra (Walsh) Skorker and the father of Lisa, Lynn, John, Michele, Desiree and Michael Skorker. He was the loving grandfather of many and the loving great grandfather of one. Mike was the dear brother of MaryLou Pastereus and Arlene Devine. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and his canine companion Coco.

A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford on Saturday, April 1st at 2PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. At the request of the family, interment will be held privately, at a later date. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in John’s name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
