Obituary

Worcester - Paul T. "Dempsy" Eliopulos, 98, formerly of Worcester, died Saturday, March 25th in the Life Care Center of Auburn. He leaves eight nephews and nieces and several great nephews and great nieces. He was predeceased by two sisters, Pagona J. "Wona" Anastation and Jennie T. Gianakis.

He was born in Haverhill, the son of Theodore and Athanasia (Danikas) Eliopulos. Mr Eliopulos moved to Worcester shortly after birth and attended Worcester public schools. He worked as a bartender in several establishments and restaurants in the Worcester area. Mr. Eliopulos was a World War II United States Army Air Forces veteran, proudly serving his country in the China-Burma-India theatre. He was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral and enjoyed reading and solving crossword puzzles.

Paul's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Life Care Center of Auburn for the compassionate care they provided during his stay with them.

A visiting hour will be held Friday, March 31st from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. His funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. in the cathedral. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street, Worcester, MA 01609. O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, is assisting with arrangements.
