Carole L. (Scibeck) Lawson
3/25/2017

Carole L. (Scibeck) Lawson, of Milton and Falmouth, died at home on March 25 after a long and brave battle with cancer.

Carole was born in 1932 to Benjamin Scibeck and Loraine (Baxter) Scibeck and grew up in Dorchester, MA where she met and married Robert C. “Bibby” Lawson.

Carole and Robert raised their four children in Milton, MA. While she worked for over 20 years as a real estate broker in Milton, Carole’s most treasured roles were those of homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother.

In retirement, Carole enjoyed many fun times with friends in Marco Island, FL before moving to Falmouth, MA. Carole loved living on Cape Cod where her home was always open for fun with kids, grandkids and friends.

Though cancer eventually claimed her life, she saw a silver lining in her long battle in that she made wonderful friends in the “WaterPals” Breast Cancer survivor group and enjoyed several joy filled years with the support and encouragement of Dr. Erban and the staff at Tufts Medical Center.

Carole’s favorite pastimes included spending time with her children and grandchildren celebrating holidays and weddings and cheering at their sporting events and recitals; traveling with family and friends; and watching the Red Sox.

Carole was a faith-filled and spiritual woman and was an active participant in the parishes of St. Agatha’s Church in Milton and St. Anthony’s Church in Falmouth.

She is survived by her children, Rick and Joyce Lawson of Erie, CO; Bob and Kathy Lawson of Westford, MA; Lori and Marty Henry of Milton, MA; Chris and Kerry Lawson of Sandwich, MA and her beloved grandchildren, Nicole, Rob, Carolyn, Brianna, David, Maggie, Rosie, Julia, Mikaela, Chloe, Bobby, Olivia, and Carole, and great grandchildren Zelie and Jude.
