Obituary

Worcester – Marguerite L. (LaFortune) Blais, 96, of Worcester, died on Friday, March 17th in the Lifecare Center of Auburn after an illness.
Mrs. Blais was married to the late Victor A. Blais Sr. who died in 1979. She is survived by a son, Victor A. Blais Jr. and his wife, Harriet of Worcester; a grandson Jonathan Blais, and his wife Rachel of Worcester; a brother, Andrea “Butch” LaFortune and his wife, Theresa of Gardner, MA; 4 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by a brother, Leon LaFortune.
Marguerite was born in Winchendon, MA daughter of the late, Joseph and Alice (Gamche) LaFortune and worked as a bookkeeper for New England Meter Repair for 54 years before her retirement. She was a member of the former Holy Name of Jesus Church and the Franco American Club.
A funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 21 at 11 AM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral home 12 Hammond St. Worcester with burial to follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 before the funeral. Memorial contributions in memory of Marguerite may be made to the American Diabetes Association 260 Cochituate Road #200, Framingham, MA 01701.
