WORCESTER

Janette (Abdulky) Raheb, 84, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Beaumont Nursing Center.


Her husband, George Raheb died in 1980. She leaves five children, Naim G. Raheb and his wife, Rina, Deacon Nedal G. Raheb and his wife, Baha, Nada Hanna and her husband, Fawaz, Nelly Bahnan and her husband, Alfred, Attorney Nibal Raheb and her husband, Elie Boutros all of Worcester; fifteen grandchildren, George, David, Janet, Nicole, Grace, Kristen, Natalie, Michelle, Elliana, Michael, Paul, Danielle, Alex, Michael and Joelle; a great-grandchild, Jalen; seven siblings, Mary, Georgette and Evelyn all of Worcester and three sisters and a brother in Syria; a sister-in-law, Farida of Worcester and nieces and nephews. Two siblings predeceased her. She was born in Hassake, Syria daughter of Bahdai and Ghanima (Yousef) Abdulky.



Janette was a member of both St. Matthew's Syriac Orthodox Church and St. Mary's Syriac Orthodox Church. She loved her church and her family. Janette was an elegant woman who enjoyed life. She was a wonderful person who enjoyed hosting and entertaining people.



A Funeral will held Saturday, March 18 from CALLAHAN~FAY~CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St with a Service at 10AM in St. Mary’s Syriac Orthodox Church, 1 Industrial Drive, Shrewsbury. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Friday, March 17 from 5 to 8PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary’s Syriac Orthodox Church or to St. Matthew’s Syriac Orthodox Church, 149 Park St., West Roxbury, 02132.
