Margie Thigpen Maddox, 89, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 15, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with the Rev. Jim Knight officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Maddox was a native of Gibson, Ga., but had lived for many years in Savannah, where she attended the Isle of Hope Methodist Church.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews, and was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carlton Maddox, and their only child, Bill Maddox.
Pallbearers will be Ed Muns, Joe Muns, Perry Maddox, Tony Maddox, Art Baber, David Poss and Ernest McPeak.
If so desired, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
