MARLBOROUGH - Mrs. Anne Bernadette (O’Malley) Butt, 82, passed away on Sunday March 12th at the Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center.

Anne was born May 23, 1934 in Worcester, Massachusetts a daughter of the late James T. and Mary E. (Quinn) O’Malley, loving wife to the late Robert ( Joe) Butt.

She was a lifelong resident of Worcester, graduating from St Stephen’s High School in 1953. Anne held various positions over the years including the Holden State Police, secretary for Attorney Burton Berg, and retired from the Worcester Public Library. Anne was an avid Red Sox fan and loved watching their games on television or attending when possible.

Anne’s family would like to thank the staff members at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center for the professional care they provided to Anne and a special thanks to Rhonda and Joanne. Also a thank you to the Hospice of Western and Central Mass. Anne was visited weekly by her family and friends, and entertained other residents of Marlborough Hills in that she loved to sing and remembered all the words to whatever songs were sung.

She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Vigliatura of Worcester; a brother in law, Bernard Burns of Iowa, her three lifelong friends, Betty Leblanc, Ann O’Brien, and Alice Creamer; also many nieces and nephews including her Guardian, Mary Stolarczyk who enjoyed her visits with Betty faithfully.

Anne was pre-deceased by her siblings, James T. O’Malley Jr., his twin, Jane E. Sullivan, and Mary T. Burns.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday March 17th at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St Worcester at 11:00am. Interment will be in St John’s Cemetery.
